This recipe is not healthy - sorry - it has a lot of sugar! I have also doubled the ingredients because we like cookies, a lot of cookies! The more the merrier! I always said I'd always have some sort of homemade goodies on hand if I was going to be a stay-at-home-mom so more cookies is better than no cookies!
The doubled recipe yielded about 8 dozen cookies! 8 dozen! Yeah that's a lot....
For this recipe you will first need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups Butter softened
2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
2 Eggs
4 Tbsp Water
4 tsp Vanilla
1 1/3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Cinnamon
6 Cups Quick Oats
As many Chocolate Chips as you want!
and a dash of salt (optional)
Mix the first 6 ingredients until smooth then add baking soda, cinnamon, flour and salt.
Slowly add the 6 cups of oats until fully combined, then add your chocolate chips!
Spoon onto baking tray and bake for 10-15mins depending on how fast your oven cooks. My oven cooks fast so I usually put the first batch in for 11mins and the rest in for 10mins, this gives me wonderfully soft cookies.
***Side Note: Be sure to distract your child with snacks and cartoons!***
Please let me know if you try out this recipe and how they turn out for you! I'd also love to hear some other recommendations of recipes you'd like me to showcase here!
Please excuse me while I go eat a few cookies....nom nom....
